BrandonVonDoom
So I just picked up a JDM engine for my 97 lgt, and we're swapping the intake for the american engine onto it. I've heard everyone tell me that we'll have to tap into the head to place the hose for the EGR valve. I'm very new to working with cars, and could use as much help as possible. So if anyone has a walkthrough, or a link to something that could walk me through, that they could share, it would be much appreciated.

johnegg
hopefully this catches you before you start to drill. there is / may be an easier way. there is nothing wrong with the info in the above link. but there is new info which may make it easier. http://www.ultimatesubaru.org/forum/topic/137829-using-a-non-egr-engine-in-subaru-with-egr/ the linked thread is about using a non-egr EJ22 in an EGR ej25 car. the same should should apply to a JDM non-EGR engine in a a 96 - 99 EGR car.
