Hey Everyone.

So thanks to the help of many members here I thought I'd help more of the 3.6R guys and show my thanks by posting my build thread. It will be a work in progress to get all the information up and if you have any questions id be happy to answer.

Thanks special thanks to Perscitus, blklgt05, nstg8r, and fredrik94087 for paving the way along with Giovanni (italianlegacy), blklgt05, and everyone else who's ever given me advice.

Need more pics! Car looks great from the back.

Trying to decide if I want a front lip, and I can never see enough pics.

How do the H&Rs ride?

Thanks guys! Hit subscribe and I'll throw up more pics this week.

The front lip is great. I've got good shots of it. I think it changes the whole front end.

No complaints about the h&rs and I've really liked the stiffness and ride. It's just a matter of how low you want and the amount of adjustability you want. After settling my camber is sitting about 1.9 rear and 1.4-5 in front, which I actually love, but with little adjustability left. So depends how you want it.

Awesome!!! The car looks great!!

You need some Koni Yellow Adjustables in that bad boy!!! ;) Pure Epiphany!!!

Thanks! Maybe one day cuz that would be sweet.

How much do they run anyways?

If you do the install and work yourself and have a few inexpensive tools already, maybe $600-650 max. If you want someone to build the front inserts for you, add at the most $200.

I probably would have done this to begin with then. And I've got some guys that do the work for me cheap. Where's the best place to pick them up anyways? Also why build front inserts? Is it mandatory Please expound.

Read the beginning of this thread to give you some idea of the insert install for the front struts. This is for the 4th gens and Koni part numbers are different, but the process is the same.

http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/koni-shock-strut-epic-engineering-spring-install-145744.html?t=145744&highlight=koni+epic

Does the front of your car ever bottom out on big bumps with the H&Rs? The Koni's give you 1.25" more compression travel. I don't bottom out anymore.

You want to use the Koni Yellows for the '08+ WRX. The rears are a direct fit replacement for the OEM shocks, all you have to do is drill out the rear tophats to 31/64" (12mm) to fit the Koni shock rod. And obviously the fronts need the inserts installed.

I will PM you part numbers and THMotorsports and Underdog, both vendors here, have good prices.

Thanks man! No. I've never had problems with bottoming out. So long as I'm careful. I just get my rear tires off the ground over the big drives on an angle haha high flyin.

Thanks!

Looks pretty badass man. I like how your exhaust tips don't look ricey or anything.

I'm guessing Invidia exhaust a WRX exhaust or LegacyGT exhaust that you modified for the 3.6R?

Yes sir. It's all in the first entry but it's the q300 with the mid pipe cut.

Thanks! I'm going for the anti-rice ;)

Looks really good. I was contemplating debadging and just leaving the 3.6R. I see that it will look good.

Thoughts on painting the "R" the same blue as the Subaru badge or painting it red?

The car looks awesome ncfree!!!!

Fred, I would say red would be too ricey, as in TypeR or SE-R. Stick with the chrome silver, it's classier.

Leaving just the 3.6R is clean. Thanks. I'd agree with gteaser on this one though. Leave it chrome. Simple. Sleeper.

Yes, beautiful 3.6R ncfree and some fine mods too!

Thanks! I had some inspiration you could say...

Any interior shots? I'd love to see how that wrapped trim looks

Nope. I don't have it done yet. That's a future mod. Check out blklgt05's build though. He's done it and it looks great.

Aesthetically its the same car, so its really all about your mod mantra.

Oh for sure. It just sucks knowing that no matter how nice I make my car look it won't have the speed to match.

Nice build. Any chance of sound/vid clips of your exhaust?

Thanks. Yeah. I'll have to record one and get it up. I just don't think a cell video will be doing it justice and my nice camera doesn't have a good mic set up yet. I'll see about doing one tomorrow.
