KnifeyMcShanker
I don't know, how did you? If you had the battery disconnected for a while, that may have done it.

Stang70Fastback
Did you use your carputer to do it? I did Either disconnect the battery, or use an OBDII reader ($35 online - handy tool to have).
ehsnils
I think that the OP has a '91, so it's probably the battery method, or using the infamous connectors the right way.
Bdubs
No readers necessary for the 90-94 Legacy OBDI cars. OBDI, reset it by connecting both blacktoblack and greentogreen connectors under the dash. Turn the ignition to ON, but do not start the car, depress gas pedal all the way for at least 10 seconds. Start the car up, and drive it for about a mile keeping the car over 10mph, once the codes are cleared it will blink 1/2 second interval flashes. Then, you can turn the car off and disconnect the plugs. You can also disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, but this doesn't always seem to work 100% all the time. gathermewool
ok smartasses how DO i reset the cel light?..... it that better Mr. Proper? at the responses. Smart asses...Well, the info for how to clear the CEL is listed above, but the more important questions are what the CEL code is, and why you want to clear it. tbssubaru
you should disconnected the battery and then pushed the brake pedal, wait 10 minutes and reconnect , the CEL light light would did be off at this point until it camed on again , if it do be comed back on then i would have looked at what the code was first

Bdubs
OBDI doesn't consist of using a scanner. All you have to do is count blinks to determind CEL's.
