km580
Just wondering if anyone has heard of or used this. I know most Ebay stuff is just a gimic. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Accessories___Magnafilter-OIL-FILTER-subaru-LEGACY-90-07-06-05-04-03_W0QQitemZ370133977288QQddnZPartsQ20Q26Q20AccessoriesQQddiZ2811QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item370133977288&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Fat people are hard to kidnap!!! bluesuby
Sounds like bullshit. I would be concerned that the magnet is supposed to do the work of the filtering medium, which is undoubtedly second-rate. I would think a good quality oil filter is going to catch any fragments large enough to do harm. If you still want the benefit of a magnet, why not buy a reusable magnetic drain plug? I've also seen reusable magnetic straps which wrap around the outside of your oil filter.

It's to be used as an inline filter that is setup before your automotive filter. Looks like a good idea to me. I wouldn't install it on my car though. http://www.magnafilterinfo.com/MagnaFilterInfo/This%20Is%20MagnaFilter.html

I would go with the magnetic plug or the strap. Less mess.
