rubberman
Most feedback on here stated that the SPT intake wasn't worth it since it didn't have a heat shield, although a heat shield for it might be available now. There's been some good feedback on the Cobb over on nasioc where someone did dyno it (only intake was changed) and picked up about ~13hp in the mid to top rpm range. Take it for what it's worth, to get any real benefits you'll need a tune with the intake. I am seriously considering picking up the Cobb tomorrow since that's the last day of the sale. Update: Here's the link to a thread on nasioc showing the dyno results with the Cobb box/intake: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1556168&page=4 This thread should probably be in the Intake/Exhaust forum. fonts
If all you're running is a catback save your money. Any performance gains will be minimal. Save your money and put it towards some upgrades like an UP, DP and AP. If you don't care about that then stay away from the SPT intake. Cobb ran some tests showing that it performed worse than stock.
