I was like you 4 years ago when i first got my legacy, i said "this car, i will leave stock, its great the way it is" That last about 4 weeks, and i got a CBE and tune and Tein springs! Mine was stock for about 5 months, and I told myself at first that I wouldn't do any upgrades. But coming from a car where I had 4 times as much in mods as it was worth in stock condition... yeah, right. Took me until month 3 to start researching, and then I decided to upgrade when I had to drop in a new engine. "While I'm in there..." But, my plans for 2013 are to buy and install the following things: IP&T oil line Perrin UP blanket Gaskets, etc. for turbo install South Bend Stage 2 Daily 6MT clutch And then to install the following things that I already have: BNR Evo 16G (and possibly get a dyno tune) PTP turbo blanket BP TMIC kit Koni Yellows

I Donated thefultonhow Posted January 7, 2013 I Donated Share Posted January 7, 2013 Fulton, what are the benefits of the IP&T oil line. I should probably upgrade. No benefits on stock turbo. In fact, it may hurt. The oil line has a much higher flow rate than the stock metal lines. The higher flow rate can blow out the seals on the stock turbos, from what I hear. On upgraded turbos, it provides the higher flow rate they need for proper oiling, but also has a high-flow filter to prevent damage due to oil contamination. BNR requires it to honor the warranty on his turbos.

Nolmers06LGT
Keep it stock (unmolested) and carry out preventive maintenance. How many non mod owners out there? I lasted about 3 months stock until my TOB went.. Then I decided to upgrade the clutch and TOB to prevent premature failure. That led to a new LW SMFW, plus all transmission mounts/bushings. The real mods started a few months after that, once I got connected with a local tuner. Now it takes serious self control not to buy parts with every paycheck. I've got the bug..
