AZP Installs
Any reason you are going with the Bilstein HDs instead of the Konis? -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. funnyman06
Honestly because I dont want to have to tear my struts apart to make them work. I know the HDs cost more, but i no longer have access to a complete shop to do it myself. If someone sold them as a completed kit and the price was close to the HDs i would probably go that way. funnyman06
Additionally I've been on Koni website and they offer a kit with springs included which would be ideal but you can only find it overseas and for about $1000 plus international shipping. Not exactly sure how well the kit is but would be interested to see if it could be offered state side and at what price point.
LegacyKid5
Not trying to change you're mind or anything, but I just recently installed the konis with swift springs and the install really wasn't too bad. As I'm sure you know, the rear requires no modification, and the little modification that the front takes is actually very simple. That being said, I'm loving the koni/swift combo and the the adjustability of the konis made it all worthwhile to do the modification necessary to the front strut housing. funnyman06
No I'm certainly open to people's opinions. Back when I had a BMW Joni's had great reviews from everyone. I'm glad you like the koni swift combo. How much did you play with the adjustment before you we're happy?

funnyman06
That would be great. I was reading through the forums and found when you tried it last year. I can understand people not wanting to ship their cores back, with the cost of shipping these days... But that price wouldn't be bad since I'd want to pick up a set of used cores anyways so I can build before I tear into my car. Also I saw you guys were packaging with epic springs, how do you feel about them compared to the swifts? If I go swifts I'm also looking at doing the whiteline endlinks at the same time to fix the issues associated with lowering the car, any reason to go with the Avos over the whitelines? The cost difference is pretty good. If I do get these I'm looking at doing it withing the next month or two, last birthday/Christmas gift to myself. So if you decide to try and package again let me know, I might be one of the first to try it out.

This is our tentative pricing structure... We are currently looking at a price structure something like... Option 1 $573 Front Konis w/BRAND NEW housings assembled + Shipping Option 2 $519 Front Konis w/USED housings assembled + Shipping Core Refund (either option)(You get refunded $50 when you send back your cores) $50 for fronts -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. So far I actually haven't messed with the adjustment since I put them in the car, I turned them to one plus and have left it so far, seems pretty comfortable for everyday driving while providing a noticeable improvement in handling. AZP Installs
So the core is on top of that price plus shipping? So figure $560 plus shipping up front for used housings? Nope the core refund would drop the price down below that. Basically we are selling you used housings or new housings and then IF you send them back, we'll refund the $50 for your used ones. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. AZP Installs
How much extra would we be looking at to include the rear Koni's along with the fronts? $300 + shipping. So your whole package is looking like $873 + Shipping for Fronts and Rears w/fronts already installed in NEW KYB housings. Then if you choose to send back your original fronts you'll get a $50 credit for them. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/91072632.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/145749898/original.jpg http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/133406601.jpg http://www.whiteline.com.au/images/logos/perf1.jpg 11+ Years Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Subaru Enthusiasts. Figure in another ~$250 for springs of choice and it's roughly $1000 for a brand new suspension on all four corners. Sounds like a sweet deal. uberwagon
When I had my 05 LGT wagon I ran Swifts w/ Bilsteins then switched to Koni..... The car felt better with the Koni's...also stance was better (no sag look)..
JermTheElf
I've heard swifts on bilsteins are rough. General consensus seems like konis are way more comfortable with swifts
