peteyslegacy Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 Hey all I am thinking about purchasing an 05 LGT premium 5mt with 190k on it. It is located in New York. Since its in New York, and has 190k on it, i am worried about rust. Are there any common rust spots on the 05-09's? I have seen a good amount of pictures of the car, and i don't see any on the body. I have also seen pictures from underneath the car and all I really see is some surface rust in some areas. Anyone know of common rust spots for these cars? Max Capacity Posted March 21, 2011 Share Posted March 21, 2011 My 05GT Wagon with 142,000 miles just has surface rust on the parts that normally rust up here. I bought it late June 04, it has been to VT every winter weekend since I bought it. Other then stone chips in the paint the body's fine. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD). CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
