Odd Noise while reverse in 09 3.0R

Seen a similiar post just didnt want to hijack it. Anyhow, I have a 2009 3.0R, going in reverse (while pulling out of the driveway or a parking spot) i hear a metal to metal scrapping noise. Seems to be from the rear, I had a tech try to recreate it with no luck. To me it sounds like a warning tab on my brakes, but I recently bought in June. The brakes were done, as well as a "multi point check."

I have I noise as well in reverse but it sounds like its on the right side mid car. I'm thinking it might be the heat shield hitting the exhaust as its mounted to the tranny. Only happens in reverse cause it torques the trans a different way. That's my guess

See my post in the other thread. Sounds exactly like the loose heat shield I had that was rattling. Subaru fixed it under warranty, otherwise I was quoted $450 for the repair.

Sounds like we have/had the same issue, just didn't wanna hijack. I guess I'll fix it up when I do my oil, top-off, rotation later this week.

did you recently change out the brake pads?

No, I had the wheel off but there was no sign of anything hitting the rotor. Unless I have a warped rotor and my warning tab is just barely hitting it on reverse.
