2manysubies
Just wondering about it, it comes in the Saab 9-2x, Subaru powered, needless to say. I wonder if it has any use/strength?

2manysubies
I saw 2 advertised up here on used dealer lots, both adds stated 6 speed auto. I didn't go to look at them, so I can't say fer sure, Maybe I'll go out tomorrow and take a look see, seemed odd to me tough. I'll do some research. Spun Muffler Bearings
I don't think you're crazy, I think the seller in Maine is crazy. Those cars were offered with 5MTs and 4EATs. I trust the Edmunds retrospective review- http://www.edmunds.com/saab/9-2x/ /maybe if you count neutral & reverse?
Bbc84
I have a Saabaru beater, and it only comes in 4EAT or a 5MT.

Maybe you're talking about the fake "gears" on the CVT, which in fact has no gears at all, and infinite "speeds."

dougall42
I think you are correct, although it didn't feel as "seamless" as CVTs claim to be. In manual mode it obviously has preset ratios on the sheaves.
FUIAAE
That's because CVTs suck with torque, but they're great for low power applications.
