Factory Remote Starter is no longer trigger the car to crank / start

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Quick back story.. I left the dome light on overnite, woke up next day, put a charger on it, battery came back, car started fine with the key. I tried using the remote starter and the transmitter sent the signal which triggered the normal checks, dash lights up, and goes through the steps to start the car but it doesn't crank. When it's supposed to crank, I only hear some relay type clicking from the middle of the engine compartment, not inside the cockpit, not near the engine bay fuse box.

I replaced the battery, still the same result.

I used the car manual to figure out how to deactivate / reactivate the remote starter, same with the security system. still the same result. I even found a factory installed press button under the dash near the fuse box that is used to change the remote start settings that beep or silence the horn.

I checked what i thought might be relevant fuses (starter relay, etc). All were good, no blown fuses.

Nobody wants to troubleshoot.

Thanks in advance if you decide to put some thought into this! Anthony
