swap engine

I have question:

can i swap my engine MY06 on a MY08?

my legacy: JF1BP5LM46G052334

the next one: JF1BP5LW48G095955

Yes it will work, you might have to change the intake manifold

Definitely want to take the intake manifold - just did the same swap on an OB, and the IM had to come from the 08. Everything else was straight over.

I 'll ckeck with my engine if it's different.

 

There no other difference between the 2 engines?

A friend (old sub mechanic which keep some technicals informations) say me :

my engine number is: 10103AB7909

MY08 engine number: 10103AB8009L

 

He don't say exactely the difference between the engines.

He talk me about different cylinder head....

 

I'm a bit lost.

Look at the LH cylinder heads, below the oil filler tube, if you have the AVLS oil solenoid and oil pressure switch, then the engines are compatible.

The blue connector is Oil Solenoid, if both engines have this, then you are good to swap.

Not sure which engines you get in France.

In the US, the ‘08 has different heads and a secondary air system that the ‘06 didn’t have.

I guess 1st it should be determined if it's a Turbo engine or NA.

Non-turbo does not have Secondary Air Injection
