Tristate area tuners

Hey, I'm looking to get my 07 Spec.B re-tuned, I'm not quite happy with the job that Jon at TDC did. I live near Albany in NY, and I know I'll have to drive ~3hrs to get to a good tuner, but what would you guys recommend? I don't care if it's a dyno or road tune, but they have to be able to tune on the CANbus AP. Suggestions?

yes...talk to Dave Brown at MSPT.

If you don't want to drive out to LI, you can set your appointment with Dave at Hudson Historics in Ossining, NY. Dave can tune your car at HH. That would save over an hour of travel time for you.

:whore:

For Dave Brown from MSPT, not only did he give me a great tune but when my 02 sensor went, he spent hours with me trying to diagnose the problem then fixed it for me for free. He went above and beyond. I highly recommend MSPT. :)

Dbrunone what did you end up doing? I'm currently buying up some parts to go stage 2 and i'd like a shop to make me a tune to put on AP w/ canbus as well but I would prefer dyno tuning. Being as new to subies as I am, I really don't know who has a good reputation for efficient and reliable tuning in the NYC area. I am also looking into an install shop to put on my parts (it would be great if one shop did both). please give an update on what you did/are doing, and if anyone else has any info/advice that would be helpful is great.

We can't do tuning due to no dyno, we usually get our own cars and our race cars tuned by the guys up at EFI Logics in CT. We however can install just about anything you need. Shoot me a PM/IM/E-mail if you'd like a quote on installing any parts.

I haven't done anything yet...I want to install a new o-ring on my intercooler-turbo connection to make sure it isnt leaking, and put in a new air filter before the new tune. I'll probably get MSPT to do it; they came with a lot of good recommendations.

installs in NJ doesn't seem too bad but just thinking of driving to CT for a tune is making my tomtom moan and my pedal foot groan.

We are about 30min from the GWB, so just let us know if we can help.

i haven't done much homework on them but i came across LGTNYs thread about their tuning. he seems pretty happy and a few guys from the shop spoke about their technique and reasoning a little. a friend of mine from the Vdub side of town told me theres a few subie tunersto stay away from, but didn't give me any names yet. i'm curious to see what he says and why.
