jpapanas
I cracked the screen on the navigation system on my 2013 Outback SAP. Screen still works, but the touch screen is not reliably responsive around the crack which makes it hard to enter searchs by name... Apparently, you can't order just the screen - you have to buy the whole system at about $2,500!! from the dealer. If I replace the whole system, how do i transfer the XM radio subscription to the new unit? I've found used systems on eBay for much less and i'm thinking of removing the screen from one of those and replacing mine so as to not have to mess with the XM radio subscription. The screen seems to be removable, but wonder if anyone has done that?
testa422
You can call xm and just give them the new radio is number and they can transfer the subscription. I've done it like 4x with my wife's cars. Hardest part is sitting on hold
FLlegacy
Or see if you can buy just a screen from a salvage yard...or upgrade to aftermarket. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk
jpapanas
I finally got around to removing the navigation system from the car. Removed the shielding cover from the back of the display screen and was able to disconnect the connection and remove the display screen from the base unit: Btw - I did the aha radio upgrade that was available for 2013 Outbacks soon after we purchased the car - the new unit came with a new trial XM satellite subscription that has never ended - going on 2.5yrs now... - that's why i'm going to this trouble to keep the base unit and just swap the screen...
