Blackrose
What needs to be done to convert an 07 LGT to speed density?
thisisthenewsic
cobb accessport http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/NLM-SpeedDensityKit-WRX04 and this kit. but call them and order over the phone as you need 08+ wrx/05-09 lgt omni map sensor. unless you are running an sit intake manifold with sti throttle body. you can also ask for a 3 bar instead which is good for about 28psi. instead of about 42 or so. also have someone who knows what they are doing to wire in the intake air temp sensor, it requires tapping into your old maf wiring. hobo2701
What benefit does this provide over reg tuning? It's needed to properly tune an aftermatket air intake which unless your running more than like 350whp the stock is just as good and less headache
Nrw
Unless you are planning on running 550+whp. I wouldn't waste the time.
cryo
^ I agree, speed density has become the new buzzword but normally is not needed or benificial on a stock location turbo most times. Blackrose
Im aware that it is over kill for most people on this car. I was just wondering cause its what Im used to tuning with and if it wasn't a giant PITA I was considering doing it. Thanks for the info.

K2e2vin
I wouldn't use a HP figure to judge when you need it...rather who's doing the tuning. It's not really overkill or anything, just another algorithm for the ECU to use(if I told you Honda uses this, stock, would you still say it's "overkill"? lol). Though, I do notice a lot of turbo MAF guys go SD simply to run an BOV vented to atmosphere.
