The more it stops and starts the more wear and tear on it. Also, when it does restart I don't like the shutter you feel. Just my opinions, Soni turn mine off. Stuff Posted April 24, 2021 Share Posted April 24, 2021 The auto stop-start seems to be different car to car. Then temperature and other things seem to affect it. Sometimes it's relatively smooth but other times the whole car shakes. It is concerning when the car lurches forward a bit fighting the brakes (noticeable when auto hold is turned on). After first experiencing it a friend in the passenger seat said "What the hell was that?" and after I explained she asked how could I live with it.
