2017 Outback Touring

Recommended Posts

Dealer has one with about 40k miles (which is a lot). But it's CPO with 100k warranty, (so the miles don't hurt my feelings as much). It's a 2.5i.

How do you guys like these cars? Easy enough to wrench on? Decent mileage? We would be trading in the wife's 08 Tribeca.

I have a 2.5i Outback, and with my driving style and the traffic I encounter it's as in my signature - around 28mpg in fuel consumption.

Since you don't have any intercooler in the way I'd say it's not that hard. And the headlights are a lot better than the previous body where you have to go in through the fenders to access them. (what were they thinking there?)

Since it's the new engine with a chain instead of a belt for the cams you wouldn't have to worry about changing the belt. What I would like to see on it is an oil change on the gearbox and differentials, especially if it has a trailer hitch since you don't know how much load it has seen. (better safe than sorry)
