Help wiring Hella Lights

I have a set of Hella 500 Fog lights and a set of Hella 500 Driving lights. It's up to me to wire them up to my 2009 Legacy.

 

I want the lights to go off when the car goes off, but otherwise I want both sets of Hellas to switch on/off independently of anything else (so two toggle switches).

 

I do have the manual. Thoughts?

Wire the lights up (via relays) directly to battery and find a wire that becomes active when the car is on/running and use that as the trigger wire for the relays (via your switches). Don't forget fuses!

I'd wire the driving lights to the main beams via a switch and the fog lights to the position lights via a switch.

 

And of course use relays to avoid voltage drops.

 

In order to make the fogs a bit smarter I'd wire the relay for the fog lights to turn off when the low beams goes on, but that's optional.

I kind of want to have full control over both of them with two toggle switches (one for hella fogs, one for hella driving lights).
