LALGT's RAINY DAY PHOTO SHOOT

Recommended Posts

Some have asked and I've rarely posted whole car pics; so all you lovers, haters, enemies and allies here it is, the Infamous Tuned Sprankenstein itself:

(and before you jump my $hit - this was COMPLETELY unplanned and I drove MILES on unpaved dirt and gravel roads BEFORE I took the spontaneous shots and have done ZERO editing)

Wheels look nice!

TYVM! I bought them from forum member GetErDun.

Wait, it rains in LA?

:iam:

Pic 3 is my fav! Get some real shots of the EVOcrushin matchine! Looks good Max.

I love my new FZ100. 14mp, 11fps, 5fps with AF, CMOS, etc. A university is next door and after hours the lights are ALWAYS on. If you want me to shoot your car, clean it up and come by after 10pm.

Car looks nice. Pics are all underexposed.

VERY underexposed. I would love any advice you can give.

Not to jack my own thread but I am having some serious low-light issues with my FZ100. It does GREAT till the lights go down. I can only do so much with settings till I learn how to best make up for the low light issues though trial and error. Most of the pre-set "situation" settings do VERY well but NOT THE LOW LIGHT! Punching up exposure and forcing the ISO did not really fix it. I probably need to join a digital camera forum.

My camera has only been on the market a month so I am hoping hoping hoping Panasonic hears the cries and sends out a firmware update so I don't have to punch though my iso and exposure settings every time I shoot unless it is direct light. Even the fill on the popup flash leave a lot to be desired. (My cannon point and shoot has FAR superior low-light image processing).

I guess the truth is, I wanted the AUTO settings to do the job for me as I was very tired and running around in the rain.

Actually the camera gets REALLY great exposures using auto settings most of the time. It works VERY well in full light situations. Reviews rave about how well it does picking settings for most situations. WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO POST SOME OF THE HOT GIRLY PICS FROM MY HAWAII VACATION? (Can you tell I'm just LOOKING for an EXCUSE?!?).

It is easy for me to go with auto to pick the basic settings and then modify what I need to from there but I doubt anything short of a tripod and long exposure is going to give me what I want in low light with this camera. Mostly I need to figure out how to get the best out of the camera in a variety of situations and start to save my profile preferences for reuse.

(this is my first digi cam that is not just a point and shoot)

EXPOSE FIVE? Wow, can I even DO that in the rain? Wont the rain just become a big blur of streaks? (Those were all punched up +.5 to +1.5 as I find it VERY difficult to shoot handheld at +2 or above even with lens image stabilization).

... I suppose its time to buy a BIG tripod huh ?!?!?!

I was talking more specifically about the tougher lighting situations. Bring on those Hawaii photos!
