ODO: 52,xxx

Had the Wiper Motor Cover recall (campaign WTK-71) done at the dealer on 10-19-16.

Samco Radiator Hoses (TC S516/C-Blue) arrived. Ordered through No Limit Motorsports. Took 2-1/2 months because they were custom made to order at Samco in the UK.

Installed Redline Goods custom shifter boot

Finicky little thing, but it only took about 30 minutes. Stuck the stock one inside of it as a template to locate the slots in the leather. Fits great! Thank you Redline Goods!

Black leather and black perforated leather four panel with X stitching in Red.

Installed Redline Goods Shift Boot

Ordered last December and began install in March. It was challenging because the new leather is considerably thicker than the OEM boot and getting it over the boot ring and then snapped into the console cover is a PITA. I ended up doing it slowly over time by wetting the leather around the ring and letting it dry over and over again, each time pushing the ring a little farther toward snapping into the clips. It's 90% of the way there and sure as hell, it's not coming out on it's own.

The options from Redline goods were JDM Red Stitching in an X-pattern with black leather and black perforated leather panels. It's a quality piece for sure and I look forward to getting the arm rest cover in the future as well.

Front OEM STi Brembo Install

Picked up these lightly used 2014 STi Brembos from a member over on the Forester forum. They came with Hawk pads and in great condition with apparently less than 30k miles on them. Probably going to change out the Hawk pads to Carbotech XP8, but I will run them for a while.

Ordered the Brembo specific front caliper bolts (Part No. 901120103) from Oakos Automotive and the front DBA T2 rotors (DBA 654S-10) from KNS Brakes. Install was a breeze!!!

And made some art with this one.

Illuminated Cupholder Mod

http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/my-interior-illumination-mod-lighted-cup-holders-155713.html

Picked up a cupholder with the plexiglass diffuser (Part No. 92134AJ00A) a few months back from another member here. My first go at it with some small chip LEDs didn't go well, plus they were too bright.

On my second try I wired it up with these, now all I have to do is splice into the harness.

cupholder7.thumb.jpg.3856e0f6e4cf0ec36d75004e6abee980.jpg

I used Molex connectors so that I can unplug it from the harness when removing the console cover.

Final product...but still have to splice the pigtail into the factory wiring or fit some sort of dimmer if it's too bright at night.

August 2017

Did a quick little engine detail in preparation for some more engine bay mods coming soon. It's been a few years since the last one.

I also added a little bling.

Installed OEM (Ford) LED Fog Lights

2015-2017 Ford Mustang LED Fog lights (H11)

Part No FR3Z-15200-A (FR3B-15K201-AE stamped on light housing)

These are made by Valeo who is the OE supplier for Mercedes, Volvo, etc for LED DRLs and various light housings. These are direct fit for our 5th Gen Legacys.

The housing is identical to our stock fog lights in every dimension and include a male H11 socket for our female OEM harness connector. Plug and Play!!!

OEM Subaru fog housing is on the left.

Here are the pics. These took me a total of 20 minutes to install, no modifications necessary. As you can see, they use optics to create the unique light pattern and cutoff and appear to be somewhere in the 5k to 6k color temp range. (They look a little green in my daytime pics, that's just my phone)

Some night time pics. I absolutely love these. The pattern is very useful and far better than our stock fogs. You can see where the light is hitting the ground in front of the car.

Installed Prothane 16-1610-BL diff bushing insert kit today. I don't know what y'all were complaining about on this install, it took me right about 1 hour and had no issues at all with getting a 17mm box end on the rear bolts, even without removing exhaust.26427bf6a4b46ddbc6933dfcaaa43b3a.jpg86ad5636f659175ee842bfcdeb63b21b.jpg8e246530515e5637d7d7e9cddf367014.jpg56d216160ecd7871b95dc4c3bec1783c.jpgf24840e7aca5c4c479c36aaabe1aafc2.jpg81200f09368d84886b59044b33e7da7a.jpgd1f2e71b8608cf10454dce0960c2bf70.jpg

Took her for an emissions test today, her first since July 2012 when I brought her home from the dealer in Oregon. Passed with flying colors....with a GFB Respons BOV installed. Hahaha! It's so buried there's no way the guy could have ever seen it to fail me.

September 2019

Installed the AutoArt brake master cylinder brace which I've had sitting on a shelf for well over a year, maybe two. I had it custom powder coated in Cusco blue. It fit perfectly and I was able to continue to leave my boost gauge MAP sensor in the same location reusing the bracket I had fabricated 5 years ago.
