I bought one of these,

Subaru bulletin for replacement of airbag. tools list & order of use for even the most basic tech to follow. Using this procedure should take no more than 30 minutes, much less for an experienced tech.

https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2016/RCRIT-16V358-5167.pdf

I suggest printing this before going for your replacement. Or even taping it to the dash.

Also suggest removing all your customizations to avoid complications.

Ooops...my apologies. Getting hard to keep track of everything now...LOL

:) I understand. I've been thinking about going through this thread and make a new index list...that would be a big job.

Would need lots of paper and a good pen.

Here's the cheapest bore gage I can find with the accuracy to give sensible values when measuring turbo EJ bores:

https://www.mcmaster.com/20685A666/

Not too bad compared to some of the $1000+ options, though the accuracy is still a significant portion of the overall tolerance band. Still beats the hell out of taking 100+ measurements with telescoping gages and a mic since you'll be able to tell whether you're really centered in the bore within 2 tenths

Edit: Amazon wins

Not sure how long that price is good for, but this is the best fluid for 5 or 6 MT's and rear Diff's.

Look around the page, just found 5qt's for $76.05

Found this for those fighting the pinch bolt at the lower ball joint. It might be less PITA to just replace the knuckle.

Got this link from the Outback Forum,

https://www.maniacelectricmotors.com/subaru.html

Look/scowl down the bottom of the page to find rebuild parts when you get to the starter or alternator page.

Have you ordered from the site? I'm definitely about to spend 200 bucks on some kicks and a hoodie lol. What does LPH mean?

I have not ordered personally. This was on one of the other forums I frequent and I can't speak for legitimacy, however, I'm sure if it was a scam, someone would have immediately blown the whistle on it. Maybe you can search them and find a phone number and order that way?

There definitely is some cool stuff on there. :)

Just an idea for those that have posted links in this thread.

Can you go back and make sure the links still work ?

You'll notice in most of my post with links I made "edits" yesterday.
