Best lubricant for sunroof/moonroof...

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a 2006 Legacy GT and I use the sunroof/moonroof all the time. Now is the time of year I'd like to re-lubricate the retracting mechanism. What's the best lubricant to use for this?

Thanks,

Bob M.

Well, the service manual for my '10 is singularly unhelpful as none of the sunroof pages mention lubricants.

I like to use white lithium grease for those types of mechanisms. you can get it in a spray can with a straw to get in to tight spots.

X2 that is the best thing to use, end of discussion.

Any auto parts store will have some.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.
