Try to post up the total dollar cost of your mods, maintenance, etc rather than just posting your mod list. Add it all up; it's not hard, and the answer might shock you (or not). Title of thread: "How much money did you really put into your legacy?" :)

Had this car since almost new. LOL no way I can guess what I foolishly paid new/used value of some of the things prior to rebuild.

This is why I'm afraid to even begin modding...

When my parents ask me where all the money is that I've been saving for college I'll just show them my car.. Boy will I be the disappointing child again..

lol I'm in college right now and everytime I come home my parents look at my wagon and go "Oh thats new".

Be realistic though. Set a goal of what you want out of your car and how much you're willing to spend. I have kinda just been winging it with my wagon which I've owned since Feb 2014 now and I'm $17,000 into it including the $10k price with 51k miles.

I saw you had posted in the AVO 2.5i turbo thread as well and personally I wouldn't attempt to do that with your car. I would just do appearance and suspension for now. Theres a reason there isn't a huge market for engine mods for the 2.5i engine since there is a turbo engine in the same car available.

2005 Vader Wagon

Material Tests on Ringland Failure Piston

I should have held off and purchased a wagon instead of the spec.B

Samesies. About to hit med school next year and i finally got myself to realize that ill probably be driving this thing for a very long time and more mods will begin to decrease reliability.

I bought an auto be more involved in my uninvolvedness . 200k+ Club

If you can't blind them with brilliance, baffle them with bullshit.

My high mileage turd.

shit Ive owned her 6 years come next month, paid 13,900 for her with 65 or so in the clock, i have 121,xxx now.

including 3 sets of wheels, snow tires, street tires, dyno sessions, maintenance, performance labor when it was over my head, parts... conversion to black interior, 4 different headers, 2 different DP, wide body fenders, other jdm goodies, importing fees...

...

I lost track

I was near 30k when i actual counted it all. with likely 10-12k made back on selling parts

im glad i am capable of doing 90% of maintenance thats a huge savings in itself..thanks to some hands on experience and these forums...

No matter how much we put into our leggys...it puts a smile on our faces...especially when you pass up cars that least expect it...make it unique and make it your own...thats the beauty of the modding game

hopefully i get to add more upgrades like built SB and a 6 speed...

I have invested 10k$ in my car, and it's just perfect now. Someone may say that 10000$ is a very big sum, and that I am stupid that I have spent them on a old car :)) You may be right, but I have so much money that it's absolutely nothing for me. I have found some ideas on how to get a very nice passive income, and now I have no financial problems at all. I'm just trying to have some fun, you know. By the way, I like the car very much Edited by Insomnia2020

that's not how this thread works. You actually have to list what you have.

usually ppl start with a new thread on the "new member section ". You talk about how you came to own a lgt or obxt. After a couple posts, then you chime in on the "wdydtyc" threads. After you pass your 10 posts count, you start bumping year old threads.

Its like dating. Hey wanna F? works in some bars. Here it takes a few dates,er,posts to get along.

start here: https://legacygt.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/new-member-introductions-40.html
