Mr. Electric Wizard
I'm about to be taking my 2006 OBXT into 5th Gear (Nashville) to get a clutch done. Normally they pull the trans for a clutch, but I'm thinking about having them pull the engine instead because I'd like them to check some things. I've been having a high speed flashing CEL (misfires) for a while now. I know, bad, bad but if I drive the car reasonably I do not get the flashing CEL (and the car still feels normal - maybe a little power lose?). Spark plugs are on the agenda already. I am also having them check out the timing belt (new to me car, no idea when it was last changed) and some squeaky pulleys. Are there any must do things that should be checked while the engine is out of the car? Or any mods that would be easier installed on an un-installed engine? Mr. Electric Wizard
Thanks! Would be a good time to check coils too I imagine.
Max Capacity
Yeah, but with your issue, I'm sure they'll test them. 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs.
