Momo Shift Knob Removal

Okay, normally I'm pretty good with this sort of stuff, but I have the Momo knob shown in the attachments below. It definitely does not have hex set screws in the bottom and is all one piece. I can turn and turn and turn until my arm falls off and it just keeps going around and around. It gets loose at first but never releases and the whole shifter is one piece. I don't see any set screws or anything. Is it this "quick release" I've seen on other boards where I just have to pull up with the jaws of life and hope I don't tear the hell out of my boot?

Please help! Thanks!

The shift boot is attached to the knob via a 'lip'. You just pull and it will pop off.

The knob itself just unscrews.

here is a representative picture showing the "lip" that the shift boot attaches to. Again, it just pulls off of the knob.
