ChrisC92 Posted February 4, 2014 Share Posted February 4, 2014 Hey I want to put a 2DIN car stereo in my car but then I have to start rebuilding the dash. Has anyone done this before? Is there any good tutorials for this? I've heard someone removing the ashtray to make a 2DIN fit in an old Impreza, something i think i will do if possible. The first gen legacy should have a 2.5 DIN stereo location. A double din radio will fit fine with a 1/2 DIN gap above it. twisty Posted February 4, 2014 Share Posted February 4, 2014 you have a single din stereo in there now, but there is room for a double din. hell, my suppliers (best friend owns a custom shop that i help out) dont even offer a fit kit for it, so its already set up for standard double din from the factory. only accessories available for the fitment is a space filler or a slot if you put in another single din.
