maccrazy
Hi there, Hoping for some advice. The drivers side wing mirror on my Subaru Legacy RS 30 has become loose. It needs to be fixed to get a WOF, but service centre has suggested removing it and replacing with a second hand one at a cost of around $400 (around US$260) - I don't care if the folding mechanism doesn't work anymore so was thinking about trying to fix myself. https://www.dropbox.com/s/1sq7o62gkut2afm/IMG_4095.mov?dl=0 The video above shows the issue. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to approach, if at all? I was considering even something as simple as superglue through to removing it and trying to jam something inside it. Lego see
Hey dude. I had this same issue on my passenger side. I just ended up throwing in a piece of plastic to jam it. It was the same shape as a cable tie just a little thicker and wider and fed it through the whole way round. Little stiff getting it in but works perfectly. maccrazy
Thanks for the suggestion. I ended up filling the gap with an adhesive which held it in place enough to get a warrant.
