1993 Legacy Wagon RHD Build Thread

Recommended Posts

After sitting under a tree for the last couple of months I finally found some time to trailer it down to the body shop for body work and a full respray. Going to be pristine when done, I cannot wait!

Thanks! I am keeping the car white, just a different white. The color is picked out but I am going to keep that under wraps for now. Shaving up the bay a bit and spraying that as well. Pretty excited!

Lol, ill tell you my color though, mine is silver right now but I'm going to spray a white toner and I'm going battleship heat, going to widebody it so I can fit 17x9's -30's flush. I'm with you on the excitement level, the plus is that work at a vw tuning shop and I'm going to rip all of them a new one, they always screwing with me because I like Japanese wagons. It looks like I have really been slacking with updates here! The car is getting primed today!

Here are some photos of the progress since the last update:

Looks good! What is your setup? Gun/Compressor?

I wish I had a garage. I had to take an auto body class in order to have a place to shoot my wagon (downdraft heated booth). But my teacher let me use his $700 gun. :)

That isn't my house actually, my painter took the car to his house so he could do the body work at night when he gets home from his shop. He will be taking it to his actual shop to spray it once the primer cures etc.

I can ask him what his setup is though. You have a picture of your wagon you'd like to share?

It's a second gen, but sure! :) It had pretty extensive damage from a rear end collision that happened before I purchased it. I'm slowly piecing a 205/22T hybrid to swap in.

Nice dude, looks great! Was this your first car that you painted?

Also, I won this steering wheel on eBay. JDM 90-94 Legacy Momo wheel. Will be wrapped in blue suede with black stitching <3

Deathstare. So you're the one I lost to on ebay. Lol. I totally forgot to bid and then poof it was gone.

Door cards will look great with the blue against the white exterior.

Did you see the other one that was all cracked? It was more expensive than this one for some reason. I wanted to buy it since I am recovering anyway but someone swooped it. Now I just need to find someone that will do it that isn't $600
