LED Lights

Recommended Posts

I’d really like to up the output of my headlights, taillights and fog lights!

I don’t know much abt LEDs. I understand they’re stronger/brighter and last much longer?

Can anyone recommend some solid LED bulbs that they have and love?

from theretrofitsource.com, bulbs, ballast, and relay will run you about $165.

I just want something that will shine through my blackouts during the day!! I’m worried abt getting pulled over!

I’d like to get LED rear lights...the brighter the better! Anyone have any easy swaps?

Pick up four of these and perform the quad brake light mod (so that your trunk 7440s become 7443s and function both as position and stop/brake lights)

http://www.vleds.com/shop-bulb-numbers/7443/7443-6-r.html

I'd still ditch the blackouts and consider either a. no tint

b. light (50+) film or spray on tint

I will consider it. Maybe after my first “fix it” ticket.

Which lights am I replacing? Brake lights and..?

Brake lights (2x7443) and position/trunk lid lights (2x 7740 will become 7443s).

Search for the quad stop/brake light mod instruction on here from years ago.

You can do the turn signals (all around) next, but you might need a flasher unit (Tapturn, etc) to prevent hyper-blink.

Why would you put tints on your headlights? Intentionally handicapping a safety device (dimming the output considerably). Do you have bald tyres as well? Or worn brakes?

If you want the blacked out look, split the housing and paint the non reflective surfaces black. Retrofit while you're at it.
