Schrei Wolf
As the title states I wrapped my wings in 3M 1080 Matte Black Vinyl, I really didn't want to paint so I figured I'd use my left over vinyl http://a5.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/269489_212863868758092_100001034416176_637483_3414104_n.jpg

jerseyglock
Nice. Have you tested by letting it sitting under hot sun for 5 hours yet? Just to be sure ends don't peel.
Schrei Wolf
The ends shouldn't peel as I've wrapped it behind a little bit, then screwed and clipped the wing back into the grill.
Mr. Sinister
Nice. I've been thinking about doing something like that for all the chrome vs painting. It'll be interesting to see how well it holds up.

Heytiggr
What a great idea! Where does one get the vinyl to use? Did you take other pics to maybe do a "how to" to make sure no wrinkles or anything when the vinyl is applied?

gholman12
For those of you who want the look but don't know a thing about vinyl, Plastidip does the same thing, is completely removable, and takes about 5 minutes to apply and 20 to dry. Oh, and it costs like $4 for a can that'd cover your whole hood. You can get it Home Depot in the spray paint section.
