zadok
I want to buy a VLSD for my 99 L, but i'm not sure what ratio my car came stock with, or what other subarus with stock LSD's have, or what the JDM BD & BG models have?Did they all have VLSD's, or did some come with clutch types? DLC
00-04 LGT should have a 4.11 VLSD, same with the 00-01 2.5RS.
zadok
Is that what the stock Legacy L's had? Does anyone know what the BG5 models had, b\c I can get one of those pretty cheap? rougeben83
L's don't have the VLSD. I don't know about the rear ratio - probably the same. The only ones that got the different ratios were the Outbacks IIRC...
zadok
Can anyone give me a solid answer on what gear ratio's the 99 (NON-LSD) legacys had? '99 Legacy 2.2L 30th. LetItSnow
Can anyone give me a solid answer on what gear ratio's the 99 (NON-LSD) legacys had? If this is true, then "everything with a 2.2 has a 4.11 Final Drive (At least in 1999)". Don't quote me on that, but that's what I found so far. zadok
Thanks man! Now, I just need to find out what that BG5 diff, i'm looking at, has in it? I could just buy it and swap the guts, but the last diff it tried to shim, didn't work right. '99 Legacy 2.2L 30th. rougeben83
Best way to be sure is to look at the serial no. stamped on the side of the rear diff. NASIOC can decipher it like brail...
