Background:

Had the car for over 5 years now, had a lot of fun and planned on keeping it but after relocation to Los Angeles I’ve decided to let it go. Lack of time and emissions is forcing me to let it go.

Car is currently registered and insured, my previous residence didn’t require biannual smog check, just one at initial registration for change of ownership. Any new owner in California will be responsible for smog.

I’d like to sell the car as is and would be willing to drive it for delivery within 1000 miles give or take with a negotiated price for doing so. That being said if nobody bites on it I’ll eventually part it out.

Tuned by yimi sport I cant remember the exact numbers but it was around 320 awhp and 320 awtq on 91 and 380 awhp 400 awtq on e85.

I found it a real pain in the ass to switch between 91 and e85 without flex fuel so after the initial 10k miles after the tune I haven’t run anything but 91 because of the hassle. There are options now for flex fuel on this vehicle. I believe Cobb and delicious tuning have offerings.

If there is a serious buyer that wants more info on the tune and dyno graphs etc I can request it from Paul at yimi sport.

What’s currently installed on the vehicle and approximate mileage on parts:

Cobb accessport

EJ257 block with drop in cp pistons (99.5) (rebuild was done about 100k miles ago)

ACL bearing kit

Oem rods

Killer b oil pickup

ARP head studs

Rotella 5w40 every 3k with oem filter

Infamous oil lines with filter

New oem plugs have 3k on them

Timing belt service performed at 180k

Perrin ELH headers with egt bung (not the big tube model) (bought used but no cracks or anything)

External wastegate uppipe with turbosmart 44mm black wastegate with vent to atmosphere dump tube (40k miles)

Cobb 20g turbo (40k miles)

KSTech 73mm intake with heat shield and ceramic coating (bought used off

forum member)

Racerx fmic with black ceramic coating and pipes are black powder coat, some scratches from being installed/uninstalled (40k miles)

3 bar Map sensor (40k miles)

TGV delete done by SoCal porting painted at same time (40k miles)

Injector dynamics 1000cc top feed conversion with ID fuel rails and ID fuel lines (40k miles)

Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator with liquid filled gauge (40k miles)

AEM 320lph fuel pump for e85 compatibility (40k miles)

Invidia catless downpipe (40k miles)

Nameless performance catback exhaust (at the moment I have the 3” nameless midpipe on it with oem mufflers to make it quieter but it takes maybe 20 minutes to put the mufflers on they are the quietest mufflers nameless made for the outback I cant remember which size they were. With the full nameless exhaust on this it is extremely loud and obnoxious it sounds like a wrc car.) (40k miles)

I also have an oem midpipe and adapter for the 3” downpipe that can be run with the nameless mufflers that’s kind of an in between but the oem muffler on nameless midpipe is the quietest.

Drivetrain:

Full sti 6 speed swap out of a 2014 sti that was wrecked according to seller it had 15k miles on it at time of wreck but I was not able to confirm. I only ran motul gear oil in this trans and differential

Exedy oem sti clutch with resurfaced flywheel just done 3k miles ago (I bought the flywheel new 40k miles ago when doing swap)

6 speed trans

Oem front axles

R180 rear diff out of same sti that trans came out of

Spec b rear axles (oem cost $900 from dealer) that allow you to keep your 5x100 hubs(40k miles)

Driveshaft came off of 2007 automatic outback

White line rear diff lockdown inserts

Redline shift boot.

Group n trans and engine mounts (40k miles)

BC racing coil overs set to oem height (I lived and worked on rough roads and wanted a stiffer suspension for handling but maintain driveability on dirt roads) They are adjustable and can be lowered or raised a little higher. (40k miles)

Rallitek front skid plate its aluminum and its a must have for people that live on bad roads.

Cross trek OEM wheels with oem Yokohama geolandars they were takeoffs they have maybe 5k miles on them.

Interior:

I used this car as my daily driver for years and work vehicle for a little while when my truck was down, it didn’t do any towing or anything but i would load all my tools in the back and on weekends my dogs would be in it. I replaced the seats and front door cards from a donor outback about 30k miles ago but its far from a perfect interior. No tears in the seats or anything but there’s scratches and some stains etc. one door card in the rear is pretty banged up.

Ill throw in the oem dog divider if anyone wants it.

Just got a new fuyao windshield about 10k miles ago. I had a fuyao for about 70k miles prior to this one and I have nothing bad to say about their quality.

The bad:

Trying to merge into a lane a large pickup truck decided he didn’t want to let me in and pushed my bumped off on the front left corner it broke a couple tabs but most just popped off there is a small scrape where it was pushed. I was able to pop it back on literally right when it happened. It has been on the car for over 20k miles now and no issues but I bought a spare with some peeling clear coat to paint/replace it.

The paint has some clear coat fading and the body has some dents and dings nothing too serious.

Car runs and drives fine light knock when cold none when warmed up but with 100k on a forged piston setup it does consume oil when you push it hard. When I drive around like an old man I can go 3k miles without any oil consumption. I have the pistons for the rebuild included in the price of this.

Parts that are not installed on vehicle:

Brand new cp pistons 99.75 bought for a rebuild with rings etc original box just opened to check for damage and look at shiny new pistons.

Used defi boost gauge with all wiring and necessary parts for install

Brand new defi egt gauge

Brand new two port face for cubby gauges

Brand new Crawford AOS its been sitting in the garage for a long time just never got around to installing it so it is dusty. It’s the newer model.

Oem suspension all four corners

Oem catback exhaust

Cobb intake

Tomioka gt28 ball bearing turbo with garret cartridge that has maybe 5k miles on it

Used VF40

OEM tmic

Spare front bumper

I’m sure I’m forgetting some parts here and there but anyways this would be a great car to fix up and make a great example of when outbacks were cool cars not just suburban show ponies with lift kits.

Also a great rolling parts car for any serious Subaru enthusiast(s)

I’ve been a Subaru owner for over a decade and its been real, but I need to step away from the performance car world for a bit to focus on other things in life.

also have a long block ej255 out of a 2009 wrx that was bought for a different project....it had a blown head gasket at 70k miles I never got around to using the long block but it has d25 heads killer b oil pickup and killer b oil baffle installed in it. If anyone wants it let me know.
