A_A_ron
Have you ruled out the Crawford AOS. A somewhat simple install, but you'll have to make a simple bracket. The one I have does not plumb water through it. Crawford research said this was only necessary under extreme cold conditions Yes, I have thought about it but winters in Iowa/Nebraska get pretty darn cold. I mainly looking for how much room is available in the area as that's where I am also looking to install the remote oil filter mount. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk Sorry to bump an old post, I was planning to buy this AOS but I saw this in my engine bay. Did your car have this? I don't know what it is but it looks like it would get in the way of the IAG AOS.
FLlegacy
If you look behind his AOS you can see that harness in there, my guess is the AOS is mounted to the strut tower so there is room behind it it just looks really tight in there. jojorios
I'll see if I can grab a pic showing how much room is behind the AOS but, yeah, it is mounted to the strut tower.
AZP Installs
Old thread but the IAG AOS isn't always straight forward and the OPs installer likely was leaving leeway for any issues they might encounter. We charge 4hrs for the IAG AOS if it's standard, so with the strut bar and other items I could see it hitting 4+ hrs. -Mike Paisan http://www.pbase.com/paisan/image/153798190.jpg Maintaining, Modifying and Educating TriState Enthusiasts since 2001. Old thread but hoping you can reply. What model specific version did you end up using? I remember reading early in the post about getting a 4th Gen LGT but someone suggested getting a 15’+ version. Thanks in advance.
Aphex28
I'd say the 15+ version since it hinges on running lines to the turbo inlet, which on the 15 wrx is in the same place as ours. On the LGT it's under the intake manifold like all other EJ's. There just may be differences in running the lines for the crank case breathers, but so long as you understand what the can is supposed to be doing, and what systems it's supposed to intercept, it's pretty straightforward with the only complication being where exactly to run the lines. Looks like that model is discontinued and superseded by IAG-ENG-7181RD
silverton
Install must go a lot quicker when you use zip ties instead of the included clamps, I hate it when people do that. It's lazy. IAG, if you're here... the clamps included in your AOS kits are absolutely infuriating, please improve them so they're easier to use.
