taylormac1993
I found a little clip that doesn't seem to go anywhere underneath my intake manifold on the passenger's side. It's a little single connection clip. Below is a picture of me holding the clip, followed by the location of the clip panned out. http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/8260/40056210151139702134844.jpg http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/9825/ballss.jpg Anyone know where this goes? It's the last thing I have to do....

SpecBamf41
plus 1, does your temp gauge work, if it still does its for the ecu, in which case idk how the car would run well at all or not over heat in traffic. BNR18g on 93oct
taylormac1993
Well I haven't started the car yet. I want to make sure everything's hooked up first... haha. Where is the coolant temp sensor? I can't find where this clip goes anywhere...
DOHCEJ22E1
Coolant temperature sensor is on the water cross flow under the manifold (aluminum pipe stretching across the block under the manifold).

SpecBamf41
when i first had everything unpluged i was also worried to start the car. now after you do it a few times i dont even care to look over the bay cause i know if something was left unplugged know damage can be done. you just get a cel and some times the car won't start or run right. things the need to be plugged in to start are injectors, coil, ignitor, cam and crank sensors, maf. thats all that need for engine to start really, to be driveable just add tps and your on the road with about 5-10 odb codes lol.. these cars are forgiving so dont sweat it, and checking your timing marks, thats about it. and dont start your car without an checking you installed the oil filter..... LegacyLou
Can this sensor be removed with the manifold in place?
Thomistopheles
You should be able to get at it. Damn that looks good painted, might have to do the same. http://i489.photobucket.com/albums/rr260/TurboThom/1997%20OB/6acf6036.jpg Another shot that shows it better. Everything on my new EJ25D will be painted since I hate looking at oxidized cast aluminum.
I Donated broknindarkagain Posted September 2, 2012 I Donated Share Posted September 2, 2012 Can this sensor be removed with the manifold in place? Yes but its kind of a pain. Very tight area to work in. -broknindarkagain My Current Project - Click Here COME AND TAKE IT "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."
