Painless Posted October 22, 2019 Author Share Posted October 22, 2019 On my '16.... 1. It only tells me that my tire pressure is low, not which one, and not what he pressure is. 2. When replacing tires, you need to go to a tire store/dealer/garage to re-flash (re-link the replaced tire to the car). It would be nice if there was the ability to do this ourselves. For those who use winter tires, and have purchased a full-size spare wheel & tire. (I have a 180mi commute and don't want the speed limitations of the doughnut if I get a flat) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Put a piece of black tape over the light. I don't know how I survived driving from 1970 until that TPMS came out, without that system...I guys us old folks are lucky to be alive... 305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. gibjer Posted November 5, 2019 Share Posted November 5, 2019 My '18 has actual pressures for each wheel, no more playing marco polo to find which one is low. Although my old A5 that I had was sensorless, and didn't turn off, it just came on when it detected an imbalance and you had to test them all and "reset" the system. Many, many false alarms. At least when the tpms goes off on the Subaru's it's typically valid.
