The install process was pretty straightforward, as expected. The trickiest part was getting everything lined up. Total time spent actually working was less than an hour to get it all bolted together. This includes many breaks.

Here is a more close up photo of the final resting place of señor ej20k. That is until it is strewn across the junkyard floor.

I took a bunch of photos today so I could try to figure out what plug goes where, and what will need to be merged. If anyone wants to help me identity these things it would be much appreciated!

These came with my EJ20k:

Is there anyone out there who is able to assist me in making a harness, in exchange for dollars of course.

Also adding this list of things I need on first page.

- downpipe

- intercooler

- radiator

- alternator Ej20g

Hi there.

Good morning. I'm new to this room. I'm on the other side of the planet in Colombia South America.

I have looked at all its process, and I do not have left if not to congratulate.

A slow, careful process and note the effort in detail.

I have a question that I hope you can help me with: How do I remove the dashboard?

I could not find instructions how to do it without causing damage

I'd open another thread for this. It's pretty straight forwards i can try and help most Subaru interiors are put together the same way

I swear I already posted this but oh well. I decided that I am going with iWire for a harness.

It is certainly expensive, but not prohibitively so; The cost of the conversion itself is $850, plus $110 for auto to manual wiring. I also have to provide an uncut v4 STI bulkhead harness, from a 97/98 JDM STI. I of course do not have this laying around so I need to either find one for sale somewhere, or purchase from iWire at the cost of $550. I then have to remove my bulkhead harness and send to iWire.

Cliff Notes: Someone find me a V4 STI bulkhead harness, and gain my eternal love.

Made these so I can hook up the COP set up, in a clean fashion. Still looking for some COP pigtails so I don't have to wire directly to the coil.

Converted my alternator wiring from three wire to two, to match the car. Again I tried to make it clean and hidden:

I also moved the fusebox from the factory location to just behind the left headlight. I did not take a picture of that.

Joe, I think you can buy COP pig tails. I'll see if that is what I did

Thanks! Someone recommended some generic ones that MachV sells but they are like $15 each. Too much for non OEM. I think I remember saving a thread somewhere that identified Subaru connectors and where to get.

Edit: Someone just linked these in my thread over on the first gen forums. Radical!

To sum this post up; Come on MachV why so pricey...
