Supra update:

Replaced the steering rack in anticipation of a Vegas trip that starts tomorrow.

Also found out that Subaru parts apparently fit a Supra with a little massaging. Found a home for the STI pedals I had laying around.

Made the hike to Denver without an issue. Took it up Pikes Peak today.

Totalled it and had a loan on it. Insurance company valued it less than I owed, had gap insurance. It was easier to wash my hands of the car.

ordered some parts for the Supra.

Stoptech pads, slotted rotors and goodridge stainless brake lines. Waiting till those show up, then will tackle the energy suspension bushing sets I have to firm up the front and rear upper and lower control arms, plus install new front upper control arms with ball joints, and front lower ball joints.

Should tighten everything up nicely.

Following that I have a power steering fluid leak to chase down, should be either the line somewhere, the reservoir or the pump, as the entire rack is new. After that, it's time for go faster parts.

It was time to wake up the summer car finally. Pulled it out of the garage, changed the oil, and replaced the sketchy brakes. I went with stoptech pads and rotors, and after bedding them in the brake feel was worlds better than it was when I put the car away.

Put about 75 miles on the car, it felt great to drive it again.

unfortunately no. going to hold off on major upgrades until after the deployment.

it'll be a nice improvement over the current situation, however. You'll see when it arrives.

Why did you go v8 and not ecoboost?

My dad is looking at a Ford truck for the near future. I told him don't get anything except naturally aspirated if he wants it to be long term reliable. He has driven one of the ecoboost and said it was a ton of fun.

Eventually. It'll probably get weathertechs. It came with a bed cover, and I like the stock 20s it's on, so just tires when these wear out. Eventually I want to do Morimoto LED headlights, the stockers are kinda weak sauce. Stereo upgrades because I need to feel it

For now I just want to do belligerent truck shit in it.

So, yeah. Truk. Thus far I bought front weathertechs, went with LED headlights, did LED cargo lights and rear plate lists, threw a bug-out/first aid kit in, and just swapped the factory tires for BFG KO2s. Still love this thing.
