First time i've really looked at the outback interior since I got my legacy. What's that bag hanging from the Passenger side of the transmission tunnel? Is that an Outback thing, or did you put it there? Are the floor mats a contrasting color? Are they Stock?

I'm kidding- the trash bag is something I need to find someplace to put and the mats are carpet samples- I like to keep the original floormats in good shape.
washed and waxed today too. 2 hours for the mothers carnuba wax. gotta go slow as not to screw up the black plastic. by the way i thought that was a colostomy bag. :o
you can remove the 'caked on' wax with 'back to black.' It's a great product...takes the wax on black parts right off, and also, 'livens' the black stuff right back up. It never looks like that dull gray color anymore. And nice car, by the way. I do like the bug protector...might have to invest in one. Jedi, is it held on by clips? or screwed in? Later, i.

It's held in by brackets that screw into holes already drilled in the car. No drilling necessary. It took me a while to get it on as the directions have no writing, just a bunch of poorly drawn pictures  There are a lot of little parts that have to go on, so take your time. But rest assured that once it's on, it's on- nothing short of an auto accident is taking that sucker off.

I didn't want the clear bra either- it's a bit expensive for my taste, plus it looks a bit like orange peel up close. Also, although I understand they've come a way since the early ones, I can't forget the one I saw on a WRX that was yellow after a year.
It's been decades since Knight Rider, and we still don't have the stuff they sprayed on K.I.T.T. to make it indestructible, just this cheap plastic lamination :(
Actually 3M is developing that right now in conjunction with David Hasselhoff! :P

carnuba is a ball buster. i tried the back to black on the wrx's black plastic and it only took half of it off. your better off protecting the plastic first with tire protector then use the wax. the tire protector won't let the carnuba stick.
