Hutcheson
Hey guys, Just recently bought a bone stock 05 Legacy 2.5i after having my 01 Outback kick the can. Where i'm from the clearances are a must and found myself bottoming out while fully loaded. (Camping) Not too sure if anyones familiar with this swap, if I were to find a scrap OB, which parts would be needed off it?Would my 01 OB suspension work on the newer legacy? dgoodhue
No the suspension is not completely compatible but the 2001 and 2005. From what I remember, you will need quite a few of the part to do the swap. There are posts on swapping between the Legacy and OB suspensions, I would search for the information. (It might be easier to find lowering post in the Outback forum) Given the age and value of 2.5i 2005, I am DIY mechanic and I would sell it and just buy a 2005-2009 OB to replace it. jaylew
I agree. Start with an outback. Too many parts need to be swapped to go from legacy to outback even if they are the same MY.
