If you guys going to get LED for F/R Signal 7440 fits snugged right in the WY21W from VLEDS, as for the reverse I ordered 921 LED, until it comes I shall tell. But it should fit no problem....

As securityguy stated. Just different wattage. Some say don't use the H11 55W in H16 housing cause of the extra heat. Not sure about that. I went with 1200Lumen LEDs in the Fog. Not happy. Going to upgrade the fog to H11 LED Headlight equivalent.

btw. If you want to try the fitting for yourself, you can reach the fog light on the passenger side from engine compartment. You can swap the low beam which is H11.

securityguy, what bulbs came originally in your fogs ? What do you have installed in them now ?

On another thread:http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/fog-light-kit-weekend-install-project-230637p3.html. Post #41, you say you're running 55W, which would suggest halogen bulb.

I know there's 2 different part numbers for the fog light housing one for SRL and w\o. Don't know if the actually material is different for the different the heat factors.

For that much, better off upgrade to Morimoto XB Type T foglight, brighter and wider much more solid quality vs stock fog.

Are you recommending the Morimoto fog light over the Xenon Depot fog light? I'm confused

Drop in bulbs work pretty well in our fog lights, but projector-style ones really boost the performance.

I have these from Diode Dynamics. Basically the same as Morimotos. http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/catalog/product/view/id/22211/s/luxeon-led-fog-lamps-type-b/category/1446/

Comparing drop in bulb vs. new housing, new housing is so much better. It does cost more and a little more work to install but definitely worth it.

Any wire cutting involved with this? Do you have to drop the bumper to do this install? I think I found the Morimotos.

Im really new to headlight stuff and don't want to be doing retrofitting that requires cutting up OEM parts.

If you ever look at something that makes you cut wires...stay FAR...FAR AWAY! If it's not plug-n-play than don't buy it!

Definitely!!!

I don't doubt Steve as a vendor at all. He seems to be very active on the forum. I just see that the LED projector is a better option because the factory fog light housing isn't designed for LED's. That's why I'm considering the other brands. Plus Morimoto's carry a similar warranty and bulb quality. Just keeping my options open. I want this to be one of those do it once and be done jobs

Nope, simply remove old fogs with 1 screw and 1 plastic clip, mount new ones, plug into existing harness. Dropping the bumper isn't necessary, there's an access door on either side to get to the fog lights, just jack up the front end or drive up on ramps to make it easier.

Couldn't agree more, I will never cut into the wiring harness of a $30k car let alone any car, it's just asking for trouble and makes it impossible to revert later down the road. Any mod I do that isn't plug n play I buy the proper connectors off of Amazon for a few bucks and cut into those. If I mess something up it's a few dollars wasted versus a jacked up wiring harness.

Here's what it looks like mounted. I can get pics of the beam pattern if you want but it's pretty much like any other projector light, sharp cutoff and super wide.

Only reason I removed my front end was I had to mount relays and run wires to get them to run as DRLs, which I'd only recommend doing if you have some electrical knowledge and like 12 hours to spend on it lol.

So basically what I'm gathering from this is that the Moriomoto's are the way to go?

Get the new fog light housing kit as well instead of just installing LED bulbs?

I just installed my OLM Gen 2 HP 6000k LED low beam headlight bulbs from Subispeed courtesy of robstunner. And I would like to do the 6000k LED Fog's as well but I want to make sure I'm going with the right product.

Thanks in advance guys!!!
