Exhaust and Sway-bar knock

I have a 08 Spec B that I purchased used from Carmax. I found out later that the previous owner had installed front and rear Cobb Sway-bars and the SPT catback exhaust.

 

I love both of these extra's but my problem is that when i go over uneven terrain the exhaust and rear sway-bar knock together. it sounds very much like my spare tire is rattling around in the trunk (which it isn't).

 

Has anyone had this issue before and has been able to fix it? At times i've been able to afix a piece of rubber hose on the sway bar where the exhaust bumps into it. This greatly reduces the noise for a short period of time.

 

Any idea's or direction would be appreciated.

Poly exhaust bushings.

Yes, you can get poly exhaust hangars, they are a bitch to put on but they won't stretch so much.

Before you do that, try buying some worm clamps and putting them around your hangars and tightening them up. It'll pull the exhaust up and keep it there. See if it helps

Like what CT08Spec.B and I did for his, get under there and move things around and tighten them up.

 

I believe that fixed his noise.
