MiniStiGuy
So I'm back in California now and have brought back my wagon with me which needs a clutch. I've been very surprised to find that pricing on replacements is INSANE here compared to Texas. Texas quote was ~$1k at the dealer being roughly $350-$400 labor as part of that cost. CA quote was $2,300 at dealer and $1,800 at Subie Shop here in Oceanside.:eek: I have a stage 1 clutch with only 2k miles in my garage that I am thinking I may just jack the car up and swap this one in and call it a day considering the pricing everywhere else. Since I would like to know of good vendors and shops in the area though please let me know who to trust in this un-trusting society of car repair in so cal. rebourne
I take my Outback to AQ Motorsports in Gardena for everything I can't do, or just don't have time to do. You'll see dozens of modded Subie's there if you visit. They installed my ACT clutch in 2018. pic thread build thread
m sprank
Damn G. Welcome back! I would have offered to assist, but I closed up shop in 2018 and relocated to WV. I sent all my customers to Subie Shop.

G, if the work has not yet been done, shoot me a PM and I can assist local to you.
MiniStiGuy
I’ve had some options come up so I’m looking into those or I’ll just do it myself. I don’t drive daily as I have my bIke so it’s not a priority. It’s really about me just getting the time available. OEM HID's Rx330 Retro
