turbo intake inlet hose and tune?

Recommended Posts

Hi, been a long time lurker and was wondering if you have to tune or retune after installing the turbo intake inlet hose. I have a stock one currently but it is ripped or moist with oil on one side so I plan on replacing it with a perrin one possibly. The car is apparently protuned from the P/O but don't have any paper work for it. The car has been running fine and has a after market turbo if it matters.

I seem to recall something about you need to plug one of the ports on the Perrin for 05-06's.

Make sure you know what your getting so you don't have any surprises.

FWIW. I replaced mine with a OEM when it did the engine.

305,600miles 5/2012 ej257 short block, 8/2011 installed VF52 turbo, @20.8psi, 280whp, 300ftlbs. (SOLD).  CHECK your oil, these cars use it.

Depends on the gen Perrin, they have changed them a bit over the years. The current gen more or less fits as expected, but you need to use the longer WRX BOV return hose. The gen before (what I have) has an odd hose size issue between the head vent hard line and inlet port for it.
