05 LGT to 05 OBXT

Recommended Posts

Here's the situation. I've got a 05 LGT 5eat with a good engine and crap body and I just picked up a 05 OBXT 5spd with a great body and bad engine. Besides the clutch and flywheel assembly, what else do I need to swap off the OBTX engine to make the LGT engine work? Is the wiring harness going to be the same? Any help is much appreciated!

Don't forget to put a pilot bearing in the back of the crankshaft when converting from AT to MT.

The new clutch kit will come with that. Assuming he's putting a new clutch in the car.

And the pilot bearing is in the flywheel....you have to swap the flex plate off the auto for the flywheel from the manual. But yes a new pilot bearing should come with the clutch kit.
