Anybody have STI Genome mufflers?

I'm just curious on if anybody has a set and how they like them. All of the sound clips are with EL headers. I keep getting pulled back to them and I am curious to see how everybody likes them. Also, is the piping any larger than stock? Thanks.

 

BTW, I'm not talking about the sti quad tips. I'm speaking of the canister style.

I have seen these mufflers and really like them but i know nothing about them really. Maybe someone else will chime in here soon.

Have a pair of these on,changing them out soon though (HKS silent power).Inlet dia. same as stock but carries a nice tone.

How much louder from stock are these? I've seen videos of them on STI's and they sound pretty loud (which is what I'm looking for).

I have the wagon version on my sedan, they have a nice tone and rumble when u step on them. When ever I goto the local meets, everyone loves my pipes. I don't think I could ever go back to stock.

These look a little rough, but with a good polish, they would probably be alright. But alas, I found a great deal on a set of perrin cans and got those. Needless to say, I'm pretty happy with the sound of the perrins as well.

my friend has them on his jdm Legacy they have a nice tone off them not very loud at all, probably louder on a USDM. they are big but my Fujitsubo's are bigger!

pardon my ignorance, but i don't know much about what parts interchange between models. any chance they would fit on an 05-09 sedan or are these wagon only fitment?

They would probably fit a USDM Sedan better than a USDM Wagon. The JDM Wagon bumpers are about the same depth as the USDM Sedan Bumpers. That is why it is hard to find an exhaust system the is specific for the USDM Wagons.

I have STi Genome Mufflers on MY06LGT. They are 4.25 inches across at the exit of the tail pipes.

 

They have a noticeable low rumble when accelerating but are reasonably quiet when not accelerating aggressively.

100K+ Miles on my genome Sti cans and the passenger side inner tube has broken off and rattles... I'm sure it is almost impossible to source a replacement for that one side... so I just live with the ocassional rattling!
