Tehnation
I broke a piece of plastic off my baffle while cleaning it so I gotta figure it out ... anyone? What you need: Oil Baffle - 10915AA010 V Bolts - 800506350 x 5 (there are 6 in total, but 1 is used for the oil pickup, the one in the middle on the side of the plastic pieces) V Stupid Plastic Pieces - 10971AA011 x 2 (they cost 6 bucks a piece...) V Will have more pictures when I figure this out, not sure if a new baffle which costs $15 dollars comes with this plastic stuff which costs 6 dollars each or if they are 2 separate things. Tehnation
Next I installed oil pickup, you need 3 bolts, and gasket. GEE-OTTO
You ever consider a Killer B oil pickup tube vs OEM? Brazed points of failure suck (or dont in this case )
Tehnation
I really did have a long think about it, going with the killer b oil pickup baffle and oil pan.... but my guy seems to be doing his job, and I am a firm believer in "if it ain't broke, don't fix it". If it does decide to break then I will definitely go with a killer b set......which leads to my next point, I need an oil pressure gauge!!! LOL! Anyone know of a way for me to check oil pressure? Can I use digital means like the dtssm or whatever app or do i have to change some sensor and go mechanical means? This guy?? For some reason I think its the oil pressure gauge.... I also need silicone hoses, all of them! Any leads? Edited September 26, 2018 by Tehnation
200kSpecB
Yup thats the oil pressure sensor but the OEM unit is more of an on/off switch. You have two options: you can either unthread that guy or locate the other plug closer to the back of the engine and install the new sensor there (most people like this option the most). As for checking the oil pressure, again you have two options: the easiest option is to run an aftermarket gauge and sender and place the gauge somewhere on your dash, OR the complicated way is you can delete your TGVs and do some stuff that I can't remember and then create a custom field in BTSSM to read the TGVs from the ECU but it actually reads oil pressure. Tehnation
My tgv's are deleted, I have top feed setup from later 4th gen, I bought a fuel rail with injector pigtails from a junkyard, a newer composite top feed tgv set, spacers and injectors, all for around 800 bucks I think. It may use the tgv connectors from the wire harness to run the signal so rather than run to the tgv sensor, you run it to the oil pressure sensor. Then you probably do some editing or adjusting with the app, like have a custom gauge that interprets the tgv signal as an oil pressure gauge. Doesn't seem that bad if i'm right, it's more software than hardware! 200kSpecB
I was actually thinking of the wrong thing, I was thinking of people logging AFR through the TGV but from this looks like oil pressure is also possible... https://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/btssm-afr-oil-temp-oil-pressure-rear-o2-tgv-left-275477.html and if I remember correctly this is the plug you're looking for
Max Capacity
Yes, I believe that is one place to get oil pressure. PM "m sprank" he would know for sure. You may also be able to T off the OEM port with a T fitting and close end nipple. NSFW
I thought the plug on the right was the one to tap for oil pressure. Almost under the throttle body, but closer to the firewall. I haven't actually tried though. I have a pressure sender that has an warning-light switch built in, and I'm planning to remove the factory sensor and wire the new sensor to both the factory dash light and an aftermarket gauge. Trying to figure out what turbo, because I am completely sold on the grimmspeed tmic, which I believe may give more more turbo options. Also trying to figure out a silicon hose and aos solutions.... rhino6303
Buy them from partsouq.com. You could also contact outfront motorsports. They rebuild/clean avcs gears and may have extra bolts.
