VAdanno:

Sorry, missed your message. Hard to see you w/o the avatar.

I had the same Vibrant resonator welded into a Q300 on my 5MT wagon.

The length is exactly the same as the Q300's glass packed bottle resonator. It was easy. Just cut and weld in the vibrant. Keep it level and horizontal. I had no problems at all 3 years.

How did swapping out the Q300 resonator with the Vibrant change the tone and volume of the exhaust system? I'm interested in your experience. I'll also check with a local muffler shop about cost to weld the Vibrant into the system.

Thanks.

The biggest difference was the reduction in rasp and low RPM volume. It was still loud enough when I got on the gas, hence, I was going to weld in this second one. Overall, I would say the tone was a bit more 'mature'. There's a time and place for loud exhaust. I was passed it. My mechanic removed the glass packed, and welded in the Vibrant in under an hour. I don't know too much about welding, but it held solidly for 3 years. No issues.
