bergs
TLDR; I replaced my SB about 30,000 miles ago and made the mistake of buying a set of Delphi coils rather than going with OEM. At the time of replacing the SB, I thought I was doing the right thing by purchasing new coils...then I found out the Diamond-branded coils from Subaru are the preferred coils. This all came to a head when my car developed a Cyl4 misfire and randomly a Cyl1 misfire, P0304 and P0301 respectively while in Sport or S# modes. I ended up holding onto the original coils from the old SB and popped those in and, whaddya know... the misfires have ceased! So now I'm off to see my good friends at the parts counter for a set of OEM coils.

Pleides
As Max said - the factory coils are fine. Mine are original at 218K and have no issues. Kept them when the engine came out 6 months ago.
