Cruisemobile2
how did the front lip fit and have you driven in the snow yet with your lowered setup? looks perfect Front lip was pretty easy. Just need to trim about 2.5-3 inches off at each end. At this point, I have gone through 3 lips haha. Yes, driven offroad in dirt and snow. Does just fine. Only reason why I went through 3 lips is because of little animals crossing the road or road debris

Don't mind the front lip hanging lose.....a squirrel came out of nowhere when drifting around a few bushes out there and hit him. The little guy was ok though and carried on. Cruisemobile2
A few months later and a couple thousand miles down the road....it was time to do more maintenance again. The original driveshaft gave out and I noticed the Megan rear lateral links started to bend! At the same time, my clutch started to go out so decided to swap that out as well. Also threw on a new set of tires! http://i66.tinypic.com/fxw39i.jpg List of junk in the trunk: New Toyo Proxes 4 Plus tires (235/40) Competition Clutch Stage 2 with brass back and 12lbs lightened flywheel Wholesale Import Parts rebuild-able driveshaft http://www.wholesaleimportparts.com Whiteline Anti-lift kit Whiteline front control arm bushings Whiteline lateral link kit ..tossed in a Perrin pitch stop mount cause it was on sale at rallysportdirect.com Also, please to announce that Whiteline also sponsored the build so super stoked about that! Cruisemobile2
Next...it was on to the brakes! This is an area I hate the most about the OBXT...don't understand why they came with smaller brakes to begin with compared the lgt wagon....yet the OBXT weights about 200lbs more... This is what I end up with after only a few minutes of going in hot at a few corners at Adams Motorsports park... http://i67.tinypic.com/w7e77t.jpg Same Duralast rotors which i installed over 100k ago... I had switched out the pads about 4 times by then. Now, it was time to upgrade the brakes Front are Greddy 6 pot calipers with 2 piece Grex Rotors, Carbotech 1521 pads, and Brembo Stainless lines vs Stock http://i67.tinypic.com/9abgja.jpg Rear are STI Gold Brembo 2 pot calipers, stock Brembo Pads, Yimisport Brembo rear bracket, KNS shorten rear stainless brake lines, and DBA 4000 series adapter rotor vs Stock http://i64.tinypic.com/2eb5stl.jpg Just so people know, the Greddy 6 pot calipers are Rotora FC6 calipers. Rotora had some sort of collab with Trust/Greddy/Grex in Japan a few years ago to produce a limited set for the GD chassis. Less than a handful have ever made it over to the U.S. so these puppies are by far the rarest parts I have on the car. Before I installed them, I sent them to Wicked Auto Detailing in Costa Mesa to have them ceramic pro coated in order to preserve the finish as much as possible. Thanks again to @speedmasterlee for hooking me up with a nearly brand new set! BIG difference in braking and can now brake with confidence! xt2005bonbon
Nice. Could you feel the added weight to each wheel with this new brake setup?
Cruisemobile2
Nice. Could you feel the added weight to each wheel with this new brake setup? Thanks! Honestly, you do feel up front a tadddddd bit more weight in the steering but nothing that would be of a concern or is over excessive. I can honestly yield that tiny bit of extra weight for better braking power. The upgraded system does stop on a dime and I no longer experience brake fade. The upgraded brake system vs to the stock system honestly was not that much heavier. I didn't get around to weighing them but the 6pot calipers vs the stock front calipers pretty much felt the same...same goes for the rear. Only the front and rear rotors were slightly heavier than stock but still, nothing major that would hamper performance
lilredwagon
So as far as the rear suspension, are you on the stock trailing arms? I ask because your rear tires don't look like they are pushed forward as much as other lowered Outbacks. Also, did you need to change to the LGT upper control arm/bumpstop, or do your coilovers have internal bumpstops? Thanks in advance! Your wagon looks great, I'm hoping mine will look as good when I get the suspension sorted!

I am still using the stock trailing arms but I also have the whiteline bushings in them so i think that might have helped a little. I also removed my rear bumpstops so there is currently none in there. My BC Racing coilovers have internal bumpstops. I honestly have never maxed them out even with a full gear and 2 passengers in the back on long road trips to the mountains.
lilredwagon
Thanks for the response! This gives me something to think about because if I don't have to buy LGT upper control arms and bump stops, then that closes the gap in price between coilovers and a good strut/spring combo. Thanks! arsene
Gotta say I love the build! By far the sexiest tire/wheel fitment I've seen. I'm gonna shoot for similar sizes on my Outback and was wondering what all you would suggest for accomplishing it. I know you mentioned you had to trim the fenders, but what else would you recommend? Sorry, been off the forums the last few months If you're going low, definitely go for some coilovers (Feals, BC Racing, etc.). Also, be sure to change your later links in the rear. and get a good alignment

Installed the lower ones myself but am having the uppers installed and having it aligned tomorrow. Most shops refused the work "because it's aftermarket" but the dealership is fine with it oddly. Might help that my friend works there. I've been following you on Instagram, keep up the amazing posts! Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

Cruisemobile2
Finally got around to upload more pics! Next on the build was upgrading the sway bars. Thanks to my sponsor Whiteline for sending me this care package. Front and Rear adjustable sway bars, Front and Rear adjustable endlinks, rear diff bushings, rear diff outrigger bushings, and positive gearbox bushings! http://i65.tinypic.com/14mf4a8.jpg
Cruisemobile2
Right before the install, I also picked up an Ultra Racing rear subframe brace. Since the Legacy/Outback rear subframe sway bar mounting points are notorious for bending or even breaking when going with a thicker sway bar....I figured I pick something up to be safe. I didn't like the AVO brackets and thought the Ultra Racing rear subframe brace was unique...they're pretty much the only company I know of that makes such a brace. http://i67.tinypic.com/4jq6ax.jpg It pretty much tie's up the rear end. Looks pretty aggressive back there now http://i65.tinypic.com/33xk1zo.jpg http://i66.tinypic.com/ie1qox.jpg
Cruisemobile2
After the suspension was done, I decided to pick work on the cooling a bit. Picked up a Koyorad Hyper V dual core radiator, pretty blue Samco hoses, and an aluminum expansion tank. http://i63.tinypic.com/2rm03l4.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/2ir7u9u.jpg http://i65.tinypic.com/35cj0co.jpg http://i63.tinypic.com/n1s7bt.jpg http://i67.tinypic.com/95vrqs.jpg
Cruisemobile2
Unfortunately, the aluminum expansion tank didn't fit with the stock intake pipe so needed to hold off of on it until I get an aftermarket intake haha!
Cruisemobile2
For Halloween 2017, for sh!ts an giggles...decided to dress the car up as a Star Wars/Star Tours Starspeeder 3000 haha! http://i68.tinypic.com/28jf50.jpg Attended Subiefest and somehow out of 5000+ Subaru folks, my car was the only few selected to be in Subaru Magazine of Japan! http://i68.tinypic.com/15yc6ko.jpg http://i68.tinypic.com/f07xxg.jpg
