ssbtech Posted May 11, 2018 Author Share Posted May 11, 2018 No auction site, it's a current product from Alpine in the UK. Not sure if radio station frequencies are the same. There might not be North American maps for it if not using Car Play Auto whatever, and obviously no SiriusXM over there. And is it compatible with our GPS system? Europe uses a different GPS system. But it's the perfect form factor for many North American vehicles. Pity that Alpine doesn't have a US version over here. I called them earlier and expressed interest. ssbtech Posted May 11, 2018 Author Share Posted May 11, 2018 I doubt Alpine will give out an SDK for it. Looks like the interface is similar to other standard form factor Alpine head units. I've been somewhat tempted to take something like the iLX-207 North American unit and pull it apart in a similar fashion to the Freestyle 7 system, but I'd hate to dig into it only to discover that's not possible.
